Signs You're a Side Chick.

You might be there relaxing on his couch, giving him all the styles in bed, washing his clothes, cooking like a Mrs, visiting his family, going on vacations with him .... Let me just say, chilling like the soon to be 'wifey' but the truth is you are just a 'side chick'. Ouch I know it hurts.

What  annoys me is the fact that these men who keep main chicks and side chicks are everywhere! I was shocked when a male friend of mine who happens to be a choir master in church, told me he cannot keep just one girl. When I asked him what he meant, hoping I was the one who didn't hear what he said properly, he went further to explain that he has to have a 'back up' just in case his main chick isn't in town. My mouth fell open for minutes and while I stared at him, he finally asked ' what? why are you staring at me like that, as long as I am not married, I am allowed to keep as many girls as I want to'. WOW really! I stared harder after he said this because I wanted to be sure I was speaking with the guy who ministers in church. Well like i said, they are everywhere.

While I believe that there are good God fearing men out there, my advice to every lady is not jump at a man just because he his a dedicated worker in church, he looks good or he has a good job. Same rule applies to every man regardless of where you meet him, what he does or what he looks like; get to know as much as you can before you start a relationship with ANY man and do not forget to pray. Brothers are not smiling! Just in case you haven't noticed, we have too many wolves in sheep's clothing these days and it is your responsibility to guard your heart with all jealousy! 

Just because you don't know you're a side chick doesn't mean you're not, there are a lot of red flags you can look for to know if you are or not: 

He never recognizes you on his social networks. Sister if your man never recognizes you on social media, not even clicking the like button on any of your pictures, you might just be number two . As much as we all know that some people love their privacy but this can also be a sign. I am not talking about guys who are not on social media; I am referring to the ones who are very active on social media but tell you that they like their lives private when it comes to proclaiming  love for you. How come he posts pictures about his many travels but when it comes to proclaiming his love for you, he remembers his privacy? If this is you, you i repeat you might just be number two.

Your cell is saved under someone else’s name in his phone. You name is Isabelle but just found out he saved your number as Sarah. If this is you, what are you still waiting for ?  I guess you want to meet his main chick in person before you get out of that situationship you call a relationship .Let us just hope she does not land you a hot slap when you finally  meet her.He has no excuse whatsoever for saving your name under someone else's name.If this is you, you are a side chick, notice i didn't use the word 'might be'.

Hates surprise visits. Have you tried to surprise your boyfriend at his house and he gets so cross with you. Now that reason might be because you are the side babe. He never wants you coming unannounced without calling first. He gives you the impression that he hates surprises. This is definitely because you are the side chick sweetie. Shine your eye!

His "sister" in photos looks nothing like him. Isn't it weird how he and his parents are all tall brunettes but his sister is a short blonde in all of the photos you see? And does it strike you as strange that they're way more affectionate than you've ever been with your siblings? Maybe it really is his sister who he's always hugging in Facebook photos and they just happened to get very different dominant genes, or maybe it's really his main chick. 

He does not introduce you as his girlfriend.Whenever he wants to introduce you to people, he introduces you with your first name or bestie or something of that sort. You might just be the side chick.

He only picks your calls at a particular time.This happens when you are not around him. He needs to create ways to be with his main chick so at that point, you become irrelevant. This usually happens mostly on weekends. The reason why he goes MIA over the weekend sometimes is because they both work during the week and the weekend is their only alone time. If he always gives excuses most weekends, check your boo!

Trust your instincts. This is a very important part that we ladies like to ignore. We just hate to face reality especially when it doesn't match our fantasies. Truth is, you would have seen the signs and decided to shove it aside. A girl’s instinct never lies. If you feel you might be the side chick, who knows! Maybe you actually are the side chick.

If you suspect you have a very calculated sneaky boyfriend, one day, he will forget himself, and that would be your chance to find out the eye opener.

My friend's side chick is just got married to a medical doctor, my friend is still single and job searching. You are someone's number one, do not settle for anything less.
