Older Group Of Models....New Fashion Trend?

Fashion and beauty love youth but now it seems the industry is breaking the love affair.Fashion and cosmetics companies are now moving towards the 'older group of models'.At 50 years old, author Joan Didion was announced the new face of Céline for ss15 and she happens not to be the only one involved in this new trend, other models including Helen Mirren(69) and Jane Fonda(76) for L'Oreal, Joni Mitchell(71) for Saint Laurent and Charlotte Rampling(69) who became the face of Nars lipstick sometime last year.

According to former editor in chief of Essence magazine, Constance C. R. White "It is long past time for fashion to find a balance  between the reality of who can actually afford to buy designers clothes —older, established women —and who they put on the runways—a fantasy of teenage models wearing high-fashion styles that only a 16-year-old could don with a straight face, let alone afford".

Well all i can say is big ups to our mamas, rocking it even at an old age!They spend the money buying these designers and they deserve to model this brands too.
